About
Since my earliest of days I had always had an obsession with being the best. Whether it was involving one of the dozens of sports I played or something as trivial as who could tie their shoes the fastest. If someone inevitably got the best of me, I would savour the moment and use it to fuel the training needed to ensure it never happened again. As I matured so did this obsession. The discovery of exercise as a means of skill development provided me with a framework I have since applied to all facets of my life - you can get better at anything so long as you find the right intervention. Initially, finding the right intervention was done by the age old method of trial and error. Deep online investigations for the most esoteric methods to then be tested on myself with highly variable results. As I graduated highschool, the natural next step was to become a personal trainer. As I was spending the large majority of my time there, it seemed only reasonable I started getting paid for it. Working with clients and the wide array of problems that accompanied them broadened my horizons and shed light on all the knowledge I was still yet to acquire. Fast-forward to today, I am putting the finishing touches on a bachelor of health science in Myotherapy and spend the remaining conscious hours either training or researching how I enhance my next session.
When I let my hair down, I love a good game of chess (particularly the ones where I win) and spending time in Australia’s majestic outdoors. On the odd occasion, when my training can afford it, I also enjoy terminating a thousand beers over 12 hours of rage cage and partying until there’s not a drop of serotonin left in my body. Unfortunately that last one has to be done in extreme moderation but does still serve to keep me grounded as a balanced individual :)
